Steer Logic Gen. 1
Gen. 1 is an automated roping dummy that is towed behind an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) until the header has roped the horns. An actuator will then release the dummy from the ATV allowing the header to get the dummy into position so that the heeler can effectively rope the rear legs. Gen. 1 also has three individual practice modes to provide any level of skilled heeler to train. Another feature of Gen. 1 is that it’s withers height is adjustable from 36″ to 40″ so that the dummy can be practiced from on the ground or mounted on a horse.
Novice – Rear legs move together at all times, but move slower or faster depending on the wheel speed of the dummy.
Intermediate – Below ~10 mph the rear legs move separately (Trot). Above 10 mph the legs will transition to move together (Hop). Both the trot and hop will move slower or faster depending on the wheel speed of the dummy.
Advanced – Rear legs trot at all times but move slower or faster depending on wheel speed of the dummy.
